Problem

Many people who want to exercise live with injuries, chronic pain, or medical constraints. Most fitness platforms optimize for variety and volume, not safety. Certifications are unclear, trust signals are weak, and booking conditions are opaque. Users hesitate to engage because they cannot confidently identify coaches qualified to train them without risk.

Solution

Ritmo is a mobile-first coaching platform designed around safety and trust. Users declare goals and medical constraints upfront, filter coaches by verified certifications, and compare profiles with transparent credentials, reviews, and pricing. Matching prioritizes qualification over quantity, and booking is seamless with payment confirmed after session completion. The result is a clear, safe path from need to coach.

How might we help people find trusted, certified fitness coaches ?

Research & Strategy

Understanding user pain points

I conducted surveys with fitness enthusiasts and identified three core concerns: Coach Quality, Lack of personalization, and Price vs Results.

From this research, I defined my core opportunity: Create a platform where certification, transparency, and personalization work together seamlessly.

The Solution

Users define their objectives, indicate medical constraints, and match with verified coaches in few simple steps.

Key features

Safe Coach Matching

Certified credentials users can filter coaches by specific medical certifications.
Verified badges, specializations, and reviews build instant trust.
Payment only processed after session completion removing all risk from the booking.

Motivation Through Gamification

Earn & Achieve
After booking your first session, earn a badge. Track your progress with live stats, streaks, and achievement milestones. Gamification keeps users engaged and motivated toward long-term consistency.

Testing & validation

Concept testing showed users

  • Found the onboarding clear and easy to follow

  • Found coach profiles detailed enough

  • Felt familiar with the booking steps

  • Appreciated the visual stats

Usability testing showed users

  • Instantly understood goal selection

  • Used filters naturally

  • Trusted profiles credentials

  • Found the dashboard motivating

Key learnings

What I learned

  • Combining business context, safety, and UX creates a coherent product story.

  • Certification transparency is non-negotiable for health-conscious users.

  • Gamification works best when tied to real progress, not vanity metrics.

Next iteration

If I extended the project:

  • Add micro-explanations for certification acronyms directly in UI

  • Strengthen gamification for long-term consistency

  • Expand trust system on verification details & coach background checks
